The New Balance Reconnected Pack is about who you are and where you come from. It’s about reconnecting with your roots, community and passions.

Family and friends are more important than fame and clout, and we all come from similar places.

We all love an origin story.

Reconnected focused on showcasing young individuals with diverse backgrounds in an authentic light.

Our team sourced a variety of personalities, from community leaders to creatives, and brought them together to highlight that we are more alike than we are different.

This campaign pays tribute to their roots and talents while celebrating the future they are creating.

NEW BALANCE RECONNECTED
KEY VISUALS
A key visual template was made in accordance with New Balance brand guidelines.

In New Balance's then primary typeface, Didot, the tagline "Everyone's from somewhere" appears across the image, center aligned. In their secondary typeface, Gotham, the individuals name, hometown, and niche is printed, block aligned.

To showcase the individuals and their connection to their communities, their names, niche and hometown were printed directly onto the assets.

Growing up, Drelle was inspired by her mother, who was a dancer. When her mom became ill, the two would use dance as a means of escape together. It was then that Drelle found herself following in her mother's footsteps, becoming a full time dance and fitness personality and inspiring the next generation to get up and move.
"I am a lover of food and wanted to celebrate sharing my roots with people. I love that food educates and connects people."

Woldy Reyes is a queer Filipino-American chef born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. His passion for food ignited when his grandmother began teaching him traditional Filipino styles of cooking as a child. Today, Woldy focuses on modernizing Filipino dishes by using local and seasonal ingredients.
"Bronx Girls Skate is rooted in my co-founder Mel's and my passion for empowering our community through skateboarding. We also want our work to honor and uplift The Bronx as a whole."

Kava Vasquez took a casual enjoyment of skateboarding in her teens and turned it into a passion that has taken her around the world and transformed her into a force for social change. As the co-founder of Bronx Girls Skate, Kava is creating community for women skateboarders in The Bronx and beyond.
